See here for the Sports Rules that apply for bets placed before: 12-01-2023
Bets will be settled based on 90 minutes play according to the match officials, including injury time. Unless otherwise stated, extra time and penalty shoot-outs will not count.
In the case of ambiguity over the official result from the relevant government body, the outcome will be determined using information from independent sources.
If an official fixture lists different team details to those listed on our website (for example, substitutes, age group, gender, etc.), then all bets placed on the affected markets will be void. In all other cases, bets will stand (including instances where a team name is listed without specifying the term 'XI' in the name).
Data provided by Opta will be used to determine the settlement of any markets containing particular statistics, including but not limited to the number of shots, offsides and tackles. Should this information not be available, another independent source will be used.
If any new information comes into the public domain within 72 hours of settlement, then we will (acting reasonably) either:
Bets on markets that relate to the number of incidents to occur, such as 'number of corners', will be settled on the number taken rather than awarded. This will also apply to incidents where time is a consideration.
For matches that are scheduled for a duration other than the standard 90 minutes, bets will be settled based on regular time, including injury time. If a match is played in an unusual format (for example, three or four periods) then all half time markets will be void.
For any bets involving a penalty to be scored and/or missed, if there is a retake of the first penalty we will settle the market on the result of the retaken penalty. This may include several retakes until the sequence is finished.
There is a small possibility that we will inadvertently offer bets in respect of which it is impossible for the outcome to occur (for example, we continue to offer bets on a player to be the first goalscorer in a match after that player has been substituted). While we have implemented systems which aim to prevent this from occurring, in the small number of circumstances where it does, we will void the bets in question (and return the relevant stakes to customers accordingly).
If a match is postponed, all undetermined bets will be void provided the match does not start before 23:59 local time (or if we believe that a match will not have started by such time) on its scheduled date.
If a match is rearranged before the scheduled kick-off date (for example, for television scheduling reasons), it will not be regarded as a postponement, and all bets will stand, as long as the rescheduled time is within 72 hours of the original kick-off time and date.
If a match starts but is later abandoned, all undetermined bets will be void provided the match is not played to a finish before 23:59 local time on its scheduled date.
Unless otherwise stated, any player who takes the field for any part of a match will be deemed as a runner for settlement purposes. Only players not in the squad or unused substitutes will be deemed non-runners.
If a team is disqualified or removed from a league or tournament before the relevant competition has started, then all bets involving that team will be void.
If the venue of a match is other than that indicated on our website, bets will stand provided the match has not been switched to the opponent's home ground, in which case bets on the match will be void. However, in major international tournaments (for example, the World Cup and European Championships), all venues will be deemed neutral. If the scheduled venue of a match is changed, including if the venue changes to a new venue in a different country, all bets will stand.
If the VAR is consulted, the event which led to the referral will be deemed to have occurred at the actual time of its occurrence (rather than the time on which the relevant referral, or decision, was made).
If a bet has been settled and, due to a subsequent VAR decision, it becomes apparent that such settlement was inaccurate, we reserve the right to reverse such settlement (provided that the VAR decision occurred prior to the conclusion of the match or other timeframe relating to the bet).
Bets placed between the occurrence of an incident that led to a VAR review and the related VAR decision will be void unless:
In order to eliminate any doubt, we will consider the VAR as having been used if this is understood from the referee's gestures (for example, hand gestures or stopping the match to review the incident themselves) or VAR usage is confirmed by the match report issued by the official governing body who is ultimately responsible for oversight of the applicable match. In cases where it is unclear if the VAR has been used due to missing TV coverage and/or conflicting reports, bets will be settled on the information acquired from feed providers and generally reputable online sources (acting reasonably).
For Team Scoring Most Goals, Team Conceding Most Goals, Team Shown Most Cards, Total Tournament Goals, Team Top Goalscorer, Total Tournament Hat-tricks and City With Most Goals markets, extra time is included, however penalty shoot-outs are not included.
For Player to Score a Goal, Player to Miss a Penalty and Player to Be Sent Off markets in respect of a particular tournament all bets will stand irrespective of whether or not the player takes part during this tournament. Extra time is included for such markets, however penalty shoot-outs are only included for Player to Miss a Penalty market and not for the other two. In the event of any dispute as to who has scored any goal we will follow the decision made by the relevant governing body.
The first half is deemed to last 45 minutes, regardless of injury time. Also, for these markets, the ‘0 - 10 Minutes’ selection covers the first 10 minutes of the match, from 0:00 until just before the clock hits 10:00; the same principle applies to each of the other selections in this market.
Bets will be settled on the official Player of the Match as recorded by the relevant governing body. If an official Player of the Match is not declared for any reason, bets will be void.
Bets on players that do not take part in the match will be void. Bets on First Goalscorer markets will be void if the player takes the pitch after the first goal is scored. For other goalscorer markets, players will be deemed a participant in the listed market if they take the pitch at any point in 90 minutes play, including injury time.
For any market relating to a particular specified goalscorer, own goals will not be taken into account. Should an own goal be scored, then bets on the subsequent scorer will be deemed winners. The active goalscorer market will always be representative of the next goal to be scored in the match regardless of the previous goal being an own goal.
Effort will be made to quote all participants but that will not discount a player that is not quoted from being settled a winner.
Bets will be settled on first goal, second goal, third goal, fourth goal and fifth goal only. Players who do not score until after the fifth goal has been scored will be treated as losing selections. If less than five goals are scored in any given match, bets will be settled on those goals that are scored. If no goals are scored, all each way bets will be regarded as losing bets.
If a player enters the field of play after the first goal is scored, both the win and place part of the bet will be void unless the first goal is an own goal (in which case bets will stand). If a player is sent off or substituted before the first goal is scored, bets on that selection will be deemed as losers.
If a player scores the first goal of the match, both their win and place part are winners. If a player scores the second, third, fourth or fifth goal, only their place part is a winner.
A player cannot be placed twice (i.e. if they score the second and third goal, only the second goal is deemed a winner).
Each way bets on No Goalscorer, Last Goalscorer, First Team Goalscorers and Scorecasts are not accepted. If any such bets are taken in error, the full stake will be invested as a win only bet.
Place-only betting is not accepted.
Extra time does not count.
Own goals do not count. In cases where an own goal is one of the first five goals then the sixth goal will be settled as a winner on the place part of the each way bet. If two of the first five goals are own goals then the sixth and seventh goals will be settled as winners on the place part of the each way bet, etc.
Bets will be settled on the player who scores the most goals in their respective match out of the players listed (the listed players may or may not be playing in the same match). The ‘tie’ will be the winning selection should both players score the same number of goals or both players not score. Both players must start their respective matches for bets to stand. Own goals will not count.
Extra time is included, however penalty shoot-outs and own goals are not included.
A Scorecast is defined as a First Goalscorer and Correct Score double.
Players either not taking part in the match or taking part after a goal has been scored will cause a Scorecast bet to revert to a single on the Correct Score market at the relevant odds offered at kick-off. Should the initial goal (or goals) be own goals then bets on the subsequent scorer and correct score double will be deemed winners. If the only goals scored in the match are own goals, then bets will be settled as singles on the Correct Score market at the relevant odds offered at kick-off. Should a match be abandoned after a goal has been scored, then all bets will be settled as singles on the First Goalscorer market at the relevant odds offered at kick-off.
A Wincast is defined as a First Goalscorer and Match Result double.
If a player does not take the field by the time the first goal has been scored, bets will be settled as singles on the Match Result market at the relevant odds offered at kick-off.
If the initial goal is an own goal, bets on the subsequent scorer and result double will be deemed winners.
All bets will stand irrespective of whether or not the player takes any part in the relevant league, tournament or competition. If there is any dispute as to who has scored a particular goal, we will follow the decision made by the relevant governing body.
Only the goals scored in the relevant league, tournament or competition will count. For example, if a player joins a club mid-season, any goals scored in a different league will not count. However, goals scored for a different club in the same league will count. Own goals will not count.
Any goals scored in play-off matches will not count.
Goals scored in extra time are included, however goals scored in penalty shoot-outs are not included.
For any Player Shots or Shots on Target bets, bets placed on players that do not take part in the match will be void. Players will be deemed a participant should they enter the match at any point in 90 minutes play plus injury time.
For Combined Shots on Target markets, bets will be void if any player named in the selection plays no part in the match, regardless of the overall outcome.
Bets on players who are not in the starting line-up will be void.
Bets on these markets are based on the number of first half corners multiplied by the number of second half corners.
The maximum number of cards awarded to one player is two. Yellow card = one card. Red card = one card. Yellow card plus yellow card (sending off) = two cards.
Only cards shown to players on the active field of play will count towards this total. If a card is shown to a substitute who is not on the active field of play at the time of this card, it will not count towards any totals. Cards shown after the full time whistle will not count towards any totals.
The maximum points awarded per player is 35. Yellow card = 10 points. Red card = 25 points.
Two yellow cards leading to an automatic red will score as one yellow and one red card.
Only cards shown to players on the active field of play will count towards this total. If a card is shown to a substitute who is not on the active field of play at the time of this card, it will not count towards any totals. Cards shown after the full time whistle will not count towards any totals.
Bets will be void on any player that does not play any part in the match. Players will be deemed a participant should they enter the match at any point in 90 minutes play plus injury time. Cards will only count if shown to players after they take the pitch for the first time and before they leave the pitch for the final time.
Bets will be settled on a nominated player to achieve the stated stipulation in both the first half and second half.
If the nominated player plays no part in the first half of the match, bets will be void.
If the nominated player plays any part of the first half and fails to achieve the stated first half stipulation, bets will be settled as losers regardless of the duration of their participation in either the first or second half.
If the nominated player plays any part of the first half and does achieve the stated stipulation but is subsequently withdrawn before or during half time and plays no part in the second half, bets will be void.
If a team is relegated from a league because, at the end of a season, it has finished within the relegation positions which are relevant to that league, bets on that team to be relegated will be settled as winning bets.
If a team is disqualified or removed from the league before the relevant season has started, all bets on the affected market will be void (and a new market will subsequently be added).
If a team is disqualified or removed from the league after the relevant season has started (or a determination is made by the relevant governing body, during the season, that the team will be disqualified or removed from the league following the season's conclusion), all bets on the affected team will be void.
For the avoidance of doubt, if a points deduction is imposed on a team such that it finishes the season within the relegation places which are relevant to the applicable league, bets on that team to be relegated will be settled as winning bets.
All teams must complete all their league fixtures for bets on To Finish Bottom to stand. If one or more teams do not complete all their fixtures for any reason, this market will be void. Any fixture that is abandoned, but an official result is awarded, will be classified as a completed fixture, and bets on this market will stand. Any subsequent amendments to league tables after all matches have been completed will not affect settlement of this market.
For Handicap Top and Handicap Bottom markets, goal difference does not count.
For Top at Christmas and Bottom at Christmas markets, bets will be settled on league position as of December 25 regardless of matches played and any postponements and/or abandonments. For Bottom at Christmas markets, if a listed team is disqualified or removed from the league prior to December 25, all bets will be void on the relevant market.
For Top Team from a particular Continent or other selection (for example Top South American, European or African Team), bets will be settled on the team that progressed furthest. If two named teams play each other in the final or third/fourth playoff, the winner of the match will be deemed as having progressed furthest. Dead heat rules apply if two or more teams, which have progressed furthest in a particular market, exit in the tournament at the same stage.
This market offers betting on the chosen selection being the score at any time within 90 minutes of the match plus any injury time. Where a match is 0-0 at the end of 90 minutes and injury time, all selections will be losers. Extra time does not count.
Settlement in all cases will use the time of the event supplied to us by our data provider (such data provider to be selected by us at our absolute discretion from time to time).
If none of the stated outcomes occur during the stated period, all bets will be settled as losing bets.
For the 'goal' selection, a goal will be deemed to have been scored the moment the ball completely crosses the goal line within the confines of the goal posts, provided that the referee ultimately awards the goal. For example, if the ball completely crosses the goal line but the goal is not awarded because, for example a foul occurred before the ball crossed the line, then a goal will not be deemed to have been scored. Own goals scored will count towards settlement of this market.
For the 'free-kick' selection, a free-kick will be deemed to have been awarded the moment the referee and or assistant referee signal any of the following: A direct free-kick following a foul, an indirect free-kick following a foul or offside offence but not a penalty kick, corner or drop ball.
Direct Free-Kick for Goals/Shots – direct free-kick shots are any attempts created directly from the free-kick itself.
For the 'corner' selection, a corner will be deemed to have been awarded the moment the referee and or assistant referee signal for the award of a corner.
For the 'goal kick' selection, a goal kick is awarded and timed according to when it was indicated by the referee and/or assistant referees. A kick out from the hands of the goalkeeper or a free-kick taken by the goalkeeper is not a goal kick.
For the 'throw in' selection, a throw-in will be deemed to have been awarded the moment the referee and/or assistant referee signal the award of the throw-in.
Any bets involving woodwork to be hit require the ball to make contact with any part of the posts or crossbar from an attempt on the opponent's goal during active play. Shots that hit the woodwork on their way into the goal will count. Any shot that hits the frame multiple times (for example, bar and left post) only count as hitting the woodwork once. Hit woodwork only counts for the attacking team (and the player who performed the last action), even when the ball hits the frame coming from a defensive back pass. If the ball hits the woodwork after the referee has stopped play, it will not count.
If Opta does not offer a result for the assist of the first goal, the betting will apply for the second goal and continue until an assist is awarded for a goal.
Bets taken on the First Assist will be void if the player on whom a bet is placed does not take part in the match or if they come on after the first goal is scored (and where an assist is awarded for that goal).
For the First Assist market only, if a player enters the field of play after the first goal is scored (and where an assist is awarded for that goal), bets will be void. If a player is sent off or substituted before the first goal is scored (and where an assist is awarded for that goal) bets will be settled as losing bets.
For extra time markets, bets apply to 30 minutes of play according to the match officials, plus any injury time. However, penalty shoot-outs are not included. Bets will be settled on the result during the extra time period only. For the purposes of this market, the score shall be deemed to be 0-0 at the start of the extra time period.
Loan deals do count as transfers for settlement purposes.
If a player does not move club within a specified time window, bets will be settled as losers. In such circumstances, any bets placed on the player to stay at their club will be settled as winners.
If the player signs for a club that is not quoted in the market, bets placed on that player to move to a specified club will be settled as losers. Extra clubs can be added to markets by customer request.
If an agreement is reached for a player to transfer to a new club on a future date, the player will be deemed to have transferred on the date at which the agreement is completed (rather than the date on which the player transfers to their new club). For example, if, on January 1, Player X signs an agreement to transfer from Club A to Club B with effect from June 1, Player X will, for settlement purposes, be deemed to have transferred to Club B on January 1.
If it is unclear whether a deal has been completed before a deadline, we reserve the right to delay settlement until official confirmation has been received from the relevant governing bodies.
The player must be registered to the club in question before the specified timeframe ends. Pre-contracts or other similar agreements that signal business to be completed at a date later than specified will not count.
If a player moves to a club, and is then immediately loaned out to another club, we will settle on the club that has signed the player permanently and not the loanee club.
A list of potential new managers will be selected at our discretion. Other selections will be available on request. If a manager not listed is appointed, all bets will stand.
Caretaker and interim managers will not count unless they complete at least 10 competitive matches and they will then be deemed the permanent manager.
If a club appoints a director of football, this will not count in the settlement of permanent manager markets.
If a club changes the structure of their management team and does not call the appointed individual the First Team Manager, bets will be settled on the individual who is responsible for selecting the first team.
If one or more of the matches do not go ahead, they will be deemed non-runners, and the original odds will be reduced accordingly.
If a match is postponed after the market has been published, the goal expectancy for this match will be removed, and a new total will be created. All bets placed prior to the postponement will stand but will be settled according to the new total.
Bets will be settled on who is awarded the Golden Boot.
A ‘pass’ shall mean any intentionally played ball from one player to another. Passes include open play passes, goal kicks, corners and free-kicks played as a pass but exclude crosses, keeper throws and throw-ins.
Offside is awarded to the player deemed to be in an offside position, where a free-kick is awarded. If two or more players are in an offside position when the pass is played, the player considered to be most active and trying to play the ball is given offside.
A ‘tackle’ is defined as where a player connects with the ball in a ground challenge where they successfully take the ball away from the player in possession. The tackled player must clearly be in possession of the ball before the tackle is made.
A ‘tackle won’ is deemed to be where the tackler or one of his teammates regains possession as a result of the challenge or that the ball goes out of play and is ‘safe’. A ‘tackle lost’ is where a tackle is made, but the ball goes to an opposition player. Both are deemed as successful tackles; however the outcome of the tackle (won or lost) is different based on where the ball goes after the tackle.
It is not a tackle when a player cuts out a pass by any means.
‘Missed tackles’ are where a player attempts to challenge for the ball and does not make it. It is calculated by adding fouls with an attempted tackle qualifier to the number of times a player is beaten by a dribble (challenge lost).
A ‘clearance’ is a defensive action where a player kicks the ball away from his own goal with no intended recipient.
An ‘interception’ is where a player reads an opponent’s pass and intercepts the ball by moving into the line of the intended pass.
A ‘blocked pass’ is where a player tries to cut out an opposition pass by any means. Similar to an interception except there is much less reading of the pass.
A ‘block’ is where a player blocks a shot on target from an opposing player.
A ‘shot on target’ is defined as any goal attempt that:
Shots directly hitting the frame of the goal are not counted as shots on target unless the ball goes in and is awarded as a goal. Shots blocked by another player, who is not the last man, are not counted as shots on target.
An ‘assist’ is defined by the final touch (pass, pass-cum-shot or any other touch) leading to the recipient of the ball scoring a goal. If the final touch (as defined above) is deflected by an opposition player, the initiator is only given an assist if the receiving player was the likely intended destination of the touch before the deflection. If a shot on goal is blocked by an opposition player, is saved by a goalkeeper or hits the woodwork, and a goal is scored directly from the rebound, then an assist is awarded. If a player shoots or passes the ball and forces an opposing player to put the ball in their own net (Own Goal), then an assist is awarded to the attacking player. For a penalty or a free-kick, the player winning the penalty or free-kick (by being fouled or causing a handball) is awarded an assist if a goal is directly scored, but not if they take it themselves, in which case no assist is awarded.
If a football match is abandoned after it has started, RequestABet bets will be void unless unconditionally determined at the time of abandonment will be void. However, if the match is rescheduled to be played within three days of its original start date, bets will stand and apply to the rescheduled match.
For bets involving two or more occurrences, those occurrences must take place at separate times for the bet to be successful. For example, a RequestABet bet on a header to be scored and a goal to be scored from outside the penalty area will only be successful if a goal is scored via a header and a separate goal is scored from outside the penalty area.
Any bets involving free-kick goals must be scored directly from a free-kick. For the avoidance of doubt, a goal will be deemed to have been scored directly from a free-kick if the individual who takes the free-kick is awarded the applicable goal (even if the ball touched another player before it crossed the goal line). Penalties do not count as free-kicks.
For bets relating to any competition long specials, in the event of one or more matches not being played, any selections that require an event (goal, corner, etc.) to occur in each match will be settled at reduced odds according to the actual number of matches that were played.
The Sportsbook General Rules will apply for any category of bets or markets not referred to in these Specific Sports Rules.
