Today we’re announcing details of the Sunday Million 15^th Anniversary event. As ever it’s going to be big, and everyone’s invited.

It’s come along way from year one.

Back then… around 2006…  if you were of the right calibre of player, you’d log in, click buttons and be playing in the week’s biggest poker game.

All these years later, and the poker world transformed, we’ve added zeros. Not just to the list of entries, but the prize pool too.

So today’s the day, the official launch of this year’s Sunday Million Anniversary tournament.

And the eagle eyes will notice that it looks a lot like last year’s biggest ever event, only this time with one big addition. We’ll get to that in a few moments.

First the details.

• Starts on Sunday 21 March
• An old school buy-in of $215
• Late reg extended to Monday 22 March.

And a bonus feature…

• $500K of giveaways.

Last year that biggest ever guarantee had a profound effect on the finalists.

The final four chopped up their prize money, each logging off with at least $786,000.

The winner — AAAArthur from Brazil — did even better, scoring a seven figure payout of $1,192,802. It’s worth remembering that was from an $4 satellite win (you could say even less).

But there was also a boon for thousands of other players.

The field of entries topped 93,000 and thousands of players reached the money, many spinning up satellite wins that had run around the clock in the build-up.

Which brings us to that bonus feature.

This year we’re giving away $500K worth of tickets to the Sunday Million Anniversary. That’s enough to send hundreds of players who might not ordinarily play an event of this size, into what is likely to be the tournament of their life.
