PokerStars Update on Coronavirus’ Impact on Live Events
1 Minute Read

Working with our casino partners operating the events and taking guidance from the World Health Organization and local authorities, we’ve made further decisions regarding some of our upcoming live events.
Due to the ongoing spread of the Coronavirus (COVID 19), the following two events will now be postponed:
- Brazilian Series of Poker (BSOP) São Paulo
- PokerStars and Monte-Carlo®Casino European Poker Tour
Players who have qualified online at PokerStars to the above events will be contacted in the next 24 hours for assistance. Any player who has won a package with us via a real money online qualifier will be refunded the cash value of the tournament buy-in into their PokerStars account.
We are currently reviewing our European Poker Tour Sochi and will update in the coming days.
In looking at our abundant live event schedule, we are making decisions on a case by case basis in conjunction with the most up to date news and guidance. We are saddened that we have had to make the decision to postpone some of our events and understand that some may be disappointed, but our priority is to ensure the safety of our players.
Any player who feels uncomfortable about attending any of our other upcoming events can contact us at live@pokerstarslive.com.
