Open race. ALECTRONA (8) is racing consistently and looks a solid each way hope. She rarely misses a place and was beaten just a head last start after racing on pace at Bendigo. She maps for every possible chance here and should be right there. OVERACTIVE (2) ran well in a stronger race fresh at Geelong before tackling a Listed sprint at Flemington, hardly disgraced behind Rey Magnerio who is a key chance later. An extra 100m suits now and he should be hard to hold out. EUGENIUS (7) has been good in two runs back, trying hard when third in the Ararat Bowl last time over this distance. He can get into a good spot and run well. DUAL PRESSURE (5) was beaten narrowly at Flemington last time and fancy 1300m suits him better. VIENNA VIXEN (11) has claims.
