KING WALDO (1) dug deep when leading fresh up here just over 3 weeks ago, and despite being challenged all the way, he stuck on to finish a narrowly beaten third. He will improve quickly with that run under his belt, and with a furlong less to travel, he could take them all the way this time. BRUNO BRUNO (3) has his last start on the Beaumont course at Newcastle and finished third. He has since moved stables and can make an immediate impact at his local debut. RED EXTREME (6) is an ex-Victorian filly making her debut with a number of gear changes since her last start at a Hanging Rock picnic meeting. She has a good draw, and the market will tell the story. BRISKET (4) had run her race before the start, finishing well back in her first local start for top trainer Gary Clarke. He usually has quick results with similar types and is expected to be a quick improver. THREE JACKS (2) ran some good races last year and will be even stronger this time in work.
