He should go close here. TOM (2) broke through for a narrow maiden win at Sandown Lakeside at his third race start, getting up just on the line. He can track up close to the pace and take some beating. ORNOS (4) won well on debut at Bendigo over 1000m and gave every indication that this trip would be more suitable going forward. Shinn sticks with him from a soft draw. LOVECATS (5) is a Toronado filly on debut for the Hayes yard who has jumped out well enough to be a factor. LEAVE NO DOUBT (3) can run well fresh.
