BUSHWALKER (4) returned a career best performance last start when she worked home well to be beaten under a length over 1100m at Dubbo. Back in trip but the application of winkers should sharpen her up. Looks a great chance to break the ice. ERION (8) found 900m a bit slick when resuming at Wellington last time out but he did find the line with gusto and wasn't far away. Looks a serious threat over the extra 100m. SOUTHERN DEEL (3) has not appeared since weakening to miss the placings on debut over 1280m at the Canberra Acton in June. In the market that day so more was expected. Won a recent trial in good style so a bright return looks on the cards. PENROSE (6) showed pace but tired late to finish fourth on debut over 800m at Narromine recently. Likely improver with each-way claims. COUGARS (1) is back from a 19-week break. Just missed at the latest appearance over 1100m at Forbes. Worth some thought.
