FLEETING SPIRIT (5) settled last in a small field before stoking up late to finish second last start over 1200m at Rosehill. Perfectly placed out to this distance at the third run back. Ideally drawn and ready to win. EL PASO (1) is back from a twenty-week spell and has been gelded over the break. Showed ability for Team Hawkes on the Victorian country circuit last prep. May be a big improver this prep. Market watch on the Waterhouse/Bott first starter SEA OF GALILEE (4) whose trials have been just fair but there is probably a lot more to offer. Debutant MERIDIANA (7) easily took out a recent Rosehill trial so this son of Preferment looks ready to run for John Sargent. TEMPRANILLO (8) on debut for Waller is one to monitor for market support.
