LAVONI (6) deserves a winning turn after finishing runner-up for the third time in a row here 2 weeks ago by half-a-length. She slides down slightly in grade and has Sam Collett back in the saddle who knows her well. Hard to beat from the pole position. CLIPPER SHIP (3) was beaten by a wide gate last start and has a superior draw this time. James Orman picks up the ride for the first time and the pair merit healthy respect. TOKYO BANDIT (7) made a slow start and never featured in the running when resuming from a spell at Warwick just over 5 weeks ago. He looked much sharper when winning a recent trial very easily and with the step up to a mile being ideal, he will be right in the finish this time. Each way. MIDNIGHT DRIFTER (4) was too strong in this grade here last start and only carries an extra 2kg here. Go again.
