ARRABBIATA (4) has improved sharply at her last couple of runs, the latest effort a close second in a BM66 over this trip at Armidale a fortnight ago. Draws a good gate for the first time in a while and she gets in nicely after the claim. Ready to win. GREAT SIEGE (1) led all the way to win with authority two starts back over this course and distance. Waited eight weeks until his next run which was a modest effort over 1200m here. Likely improver back in this more favourable scenario. CANTOLAGO (9) relished the quick back-up when she easily accounted for a Class 1 field over 1200m at Coffs Harbour recently. Will be tough to beat if she can hold that form. Consistent three-year-old PHAROAHZANO (10) led but had no answer when a well-beaten third over this trip at Scone last Wednesday. Should race handy and give a good account again. HOLY MACKEREL (14) hasn't been far off the mark of late and this is her preferred trip.
