Open Yarra Valley Cup. KEATS (2) is first up at 1950m but at his best he'd go very close in a race like this. He's a free-running type who draws ideally in barrier two and this track can really suit those types of horses. ZIRYAB (8) is racing well this time in, sticking on behind Verdad at Flemington last time out. Gets up in trip now which should be far more beneficial. Maps well and rates highly. GOLDEN CRUSADER (5) was just fair behind Verdad fresh but will strip much fitter for the rise in trip. Can win. HARMONIOUS SENORA (4) won the Wangaratta Cup last time out. Bit more depth here but drawn well and has claims. INDEPENDENT ROAD (6) just missed in the Stony Creek Cup last time and is in the mix.
