Tricky race, though the exposed form does look flaky. MEMPHIS MINX (11) turned in a nice trial over 1000m recently and Pike is booked to ride the filly on debut. She looks to have good ability and she can make a winning start to her career. SPLIT THE GEE (12) has shown promise at the trials, though has switched to the Luke Fernie barn since her latest trial on February 17. McNaught has ridden her at the trials and she legs aboard today. Has had plenty of education and she won't be far away. EYE OF THE FLY (3) gets CJP in the saddle for his debut after some handy trials coming into this. The inside barrier helps his chances and if he runs up to his trial form, he'll go close to winning. MAYTHISBETHEONE (10) scored in her only trial over 400m but she looked to have sustained speed there. Wide draw hurts but she can give a sight. RIPPER RUPERT (4) ticks a few boxes with Chris Parnham riding and he can be in the finish.
