ALPINE SKI (2) resumes after a handy debut campaign across three genuine races. Most recent trial was only fair but finds an ideal target first up. Drawn to get every chance. GORBACHEV (3) looked sharp in his most recent trial and showed sprinting potential last campaign. Poorly drawn but has plenty of natural speed. Can fight this out. RARE MOON (6) is racing well without winning but did have a few excuses last start. Speedy type suited at this trip. Don’t discount. RIVANA (7) draws low and carries a more tractable weight. Overdue a win but rates a minor chance.
