SHALANE (14) was at long odds on debut last time out and finished sixth, beaten 4 lengths, over 1000m at Scone. Big chance based on that effort. SHUTTER (12) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1200m at Scone, beaten 3 lengths. Strips fitter and can bounce back. TAKEOVER LAD (7) was beaten 1.4 lengths into third at Tamworth two starts ago then finished 1.5 lengths from the winner in fourth last time at Armidale. Settles off the speed. Solid top-three chance. TERRITORY DAY (4) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1200m at Mudgee, beaten 2 lengths into sixth. Finds a nice race and can make amends.
