MANA COMBAT (6) has raced twice this prep and caught the eye on each occasion, working home powerfully from back in the field to get up for second. Will relish this trip as he placed at two miles last prep. This looks like his day. STAND UP FOR ME (3) whacked away to hold onto third over 4000m at Ararat last time out. One-pacer who will keep coming when others feel the pinch. STAR OF TAVISTOCK (1) was ridden aggressively last start but tired late and finished midfield over 2200m at Hamilton. Fitter for two runs back from a spell and placed at 2700m last prep so this looks a nice assignment. DANDRUFF (2) romped home over 2400m at Swan Hill two back then didn't get the two miles last time. Worth another chance coming back a little in distance. AMARANTZ (4) is new to this trip but worth throwing in exotics.
