HEYWOOD (1) led all the way to win a similar race to this three starts back. A rise in class and heavy going has brought him unstuck subsequently. Finds the right race today and from a perfect gate he can bounce back to form. JACKIE'S MAID (11) has improved at each run this time in work, the latest effort a close third over 1400m at Ballarat. Progressive mare who looks near another win. HYPEMAN (6) has started favourite at both runs this prep but failed to look a real threat. Worked home well for third last time over 1200m at Mornington which suggests this extra trip will see the best in him. HYDROGEN POWER (8) is back from a four-month spell. Tackled some much tougher races last time in work and managed to fill a couple of placings in town. Certainly has the class to test this field despite the gap between runs. LOVIN' LAUGHS (2) is in fine form at or around this trip and cannot be left out.
