Siding with ECO WARRIOR (3) in the opener off the back of a smart win at Bendigo over 2400m, starting favourite and coming clear to score by 2.75 lengths. He should have no issue with the 3000m here and gets a good rider of stayers in John Allen aboard. JENNY THE BEAVER (5) continues to race consistently, placing here last time out over 2500m and giving every indication the 3000m will be suitable. She's still relatively lightly raced and can get a soft run on the fence. JUST BERRILLIANT (2) won narrowly at Ballarat over 2600m last time out at just his ninth career start. Up in trip again here with a trial win in between runs looks a nice scenario. REAL INTRIGUE (6) won well at Moe last time out and the quick turnaround here should suit. SOUTHERN STOCK (1) is just going okay but has the ability.
