STRAAND CARE (2) started favourite on debut last start but did a bit wrong and just missed the placings over 900m at Newcastle. Won't find this as tough so with that experience on board he should give a good account. PELETTE (5) has been in the money at all three runs this prep, the latest offering a desperately close second over 1280m here when she led until the shadow of the post. Might have to do a bit of work from the wide gate but back to this trip she looks sure to be highly competitive. EL BEATLE (3) returns from a 15-week spell. Met with good support right through last prep but couldn't quite jag a win, going closest over this trip at Kempsey in September. Capable of a big run while fresh. MONEY TEAM (1) is back from a 36-week spell for new trainer Brad Widdup. Placed at all four runs last prep, including defeats at short quotes in his last two runs. Recent Rosehill trial winner who looks set for a bright return. SIR TOM (4) on a six-week freshen up is also in the mix.
