DIDDLEY SQUAT (1) did not finish his run off as well as expected at Doomben last time out and is much better placed back on this track. He won his penultimate start here by a nose, and with the benefit of a 3kg claim, he can bounce straight back into the money. AMBERINGER (6) was a last-start winner here 11 days ago by nearly 2 lengths. She is down 1.5kg in weight, and if she can see out 1250m, then she can go back to back. FORTRESS AUSTRALIA (4) won her third start in North Queensland at Mackay after shifting from a Sydney stable earlier in the season. He has the pole position and can go right on with the job this year. PARADE GROUND (2) made some progress last year through a winter/spring campaign and will be even stronger this year. He resumes with a couple of trials under his belt and should be among the first 4 placings. LADY MASQUERADE (7) ran on too late after making a slow start at Thangool last time out, finishing third. With a better beginning, she could take this out.
