Open race. COMB OVER CON (9) is still a maiden after twenty-three runs but caught the eye last start when he powered home for fifth over 1000m at this track. Gets through the wet going okay and is nicely in under this scale so he gets his chance. COUGARS (1) raced on the speed and placed twice in a row before giving away a lot of start and missing out over this distance at Wagga recently. All three of his placings have come on rain affected tracks so he should relish these conditions. YES ISLA YES (7) led and tried hard but couldn't hold off an odds-on favourite over this track and trip last time out. Fitter for two runs back and certainly looks good enough to take care of these. The speedy ROULLOTTIE (3) found one better in the run home over 1175m at Albury last start. Placed at her only try on a wet surface. Must be respected. WRONG FOOTED (2) was in the market but disappointed on debut here recently. Worth another chance over an extra furlong.
