Tough race to line up with the top five picks all last start winners. TORNADO EXPRESS (2) is building a nice record, enhanced last start when she bolted in over this course and distance at BM66 level. Keeps raising the bar and with luck from a tricky gate can score again. EIGHTY EIGHT STARS (5) went straight to front and gave nothing else a chance last time out over 1250m at Gunnedah. Meets a much better field today but there is scope for improvement at just the third run of the prep. UP THE COUNTRY (4) had to dig deep to win when fresh from a 14-week spell recently over 1000m at Gunnedah. Goes well second-up and is far more at home over this sort of trip. Wide barrier the only knock. ZAHDI (6) quickened nicely when successful over today's journey at Dubbo a fortnight ago. Harder this time but must be respected. POWER BEAU (1) has won two in a row over longer trips. Is a winner here at this distance from his only attempt so cannot be ruled out.
