A tricky puzzle to solve despite the small field but SKYCUTTER backed up his chasing debut effort here when filling the same spot at Wetherby last month and, with further progress anticipated, Dan Skelton's charge can make it third time lucky. Damarta made a promising start in this sphere at Carlisle 8 weeks ago and, likely to make a better chaser than hurdler, he heads up the opposition. Lucky Lugger completes the shortlist.

VerdictBuilt on encouraging yard debut when winning a Fontwell novice hurdle on Boxing Day and lost little caste in defeat when runner-up at Sandown (good to soft) in February. Returns with plenty to prove after a couple of dismal efforts, but fences may well spark him back to life.

VerdictGot up late in the piece at Limerick in May but has been rather in-and-out since, running poorly after 12 weeks off back at that venue (21f, soft) just over 3 weeks ago.
