OLD GREGORIAN's hit-or-miss profile to date is a bit of a concern but his recent Kelso win appeals as solid form so even an 8 lb rise may not stop him. Oslo isn't always fluent in the jumping department but he arrives in form and is the obvious danger.

Former Betfair Hurdle winner. Lost his way in spring 2023 and well-held fifth of 8 in 2m Kempton listed race on recent return from a 19-month absence. Entitled to come on for the run, though.

Winner of the 2022 Swinton at Haydock but down the field in just 3 outings since. Hopes are pinned on a wind operation having a positive effect back from another 6 months off.

Won 2m handicaps at Doncaster and Taunton last winter. Down the field in 2 starts this season. First run for new yard after leaving Dr Richard Newland & Jamie Insole. Possibly best watched.

Produced a career best to land a 9-runner handicap at Huntingdon (2m, good) in April. Placed on both completed starts over hurdles since and ran well on AW Flat at Kempton 12 days ago. Bold show assured if his jumping holds up.

Pair of 17f Sedgefield wins under Brian Hughes last winter. Well held off this mark final start. Much depends on whether he's ready to roll after a break.

    Verdict
Both wins over 2m at Kelso, latterly in a 15-runner handicap 3 weeks ago. An 8 lb rise doesn't look severe (quickened clear nicely) but he does need to prove that he can string good runs together.
