There can be few poker events more eagerly anticipated than the European Poker Tour’s first trip to Paris.
It has been eight long years since the EPT was last in France, and it has never previously been to the capital. But from 15 to 26, the biggest and best poker tour in the continent finally makes it to the most vibrant city.
It will be an event to remember both on the tables and off.
THE FULL PLAYER EXPERIENCE
As ever, the EPT offers ample opportunity for players and their guests to fill their diaries with numerous Paris activities. These are almost always free to join, and give guests the chance to explore the most iconic sights in the city and sample its unique flavour.
In Paris, this means sightseeing trips via bus and hot air balloon, as well as a visit to the top of the Eiffel Tower.
There’s also a wine and cheese tasting event, plus a party at the Paris’ exclusive Fouquets venue, with a live band and Moulin Rouge dancers.

Wine & Cheese Tasting*
Paris is one of the world’s gastronomic capitals, and visitors to the EPT can join a class that will introduce them to some of the finest flavours. This class is an excellent opportunity to have a light introduction to French wines and discover how their pair perfectly with French cheeses.

Arsene Lupin Escape Room*
The notorious gentleman thief Arsène Lupin is synonymous with Paris and is the central character in a number of iconic short stories first published in the early 1910s. The raffish Lupin is now also the motif for one of the city’s most devilish escape rooms. Can you solve the puzzles, crack the code and wriggle free from Lupin’s clutches.

Eiffel Tower Tour
There’s no more identifiable landmark in the world than Paris’ phenomenal Eiffel Tower, and no trip to the city is complete without a visit to its top floor. PokerStars has tickets for every day of the EPT so you can take in the amazing panorama from the top of the world famous structure.

Ballon de Paris
The Paris landscape is spectacular however you view it, and if you head to the Parc André-Citroën you can get another bird’s eye view. This time it will come from the beneath the Ballon de Paris, a helium balloon that floats 150 metres in the sky. Weather permitting, you can be one of 30 people per flight heading into the clouds to look down on Paris.

PLAYERS’ PARTY
Parisian nightlife is legendary the world over, and has been for several centuries. The EPT offers all its players and guests the chance to sample at least one night of decadence and thrills at the “I LOVE PARIS” Players’ Party, on Monday, February 20.
The venue is the Fouquets nightclub, and a free shuttle service runs from opposite the Barriere Casino to the venue.
Once there, party guests can enjoy an open bar until midnight, a live band with Moulin Rouge dancers, and a buffet with an animated chef (8pm-10pm).
BONUS SPIN THE WHEEL PRIZES
EPT players have got used to answering a feedback questionnaire, spinning the wheel and landing themselves some additional PokerStars merchandise. But there are some rather tasty additional prizes on offer to wheel spinners in Paris.
PokerStars has snagged 10 pairs of tickets to PSG v Lille in La Liga at the Stade de France, which will go to 10 lucky “high prize” winners on the wheel. The tickets come with complimentary bus transportation to and from the stadium.
In case you didn’t know, PSG is the team that Neymar Jr plays for — when he’s not at the PokerStars tables.
During the match itself, players spinning the wheel will have a chance to win some incredible PokerStars brander sports goodies, including a pair of boots signed by Neymar Jr himself.
