ABOUT LIVE LEAGUE 2026

This time there’s a massive €250,000 in prizes up for grabs. What’s great about the Live League is that there are three different leader boards for different buy-in ranges, so everyone can participate. You don’t even need to cash the tournament to earn points–taking part is enough.

All European Poker Tour (EPT) and PokerStars Opens, including the PokerStars-sponsored Irish Poker Open, are eligible for points in the leaderboards, with the first chance to pick up valuable points at PokerStars first event of the year, PokerStars Open Campione.

One major change this year is that both EPT and Open Main Events now contribute to multiple live poker leader boards. The PokerStars Open Campione Main Event, for example, will generate points in both the low and medium tiers, while a deep run at EPT Paris will generate points for both the medium and high tiers.

That makes every Main Event unmissable for anyone chasing victory in the Live League.

“We’re excited to bring back the PokerStars Live League for its second edition and give our players another go at claiming the leaderboard titles,” said Willie Elliot, PokerStars Live Events Customer Engagement Manager.

“The league adds a season-long edge to every stop on the calendar and gives the community something extra to chase from the first event of the year right through to the finale.”

2026 LEADERBOARD TIERS AND PRIZES

A total of €157,500 in PokerStars LIVE credit will be awarded across the top three finishers in each leaderboard.

In addition, new for the 2026 league, the top 30 finishers in each tier will be eligible to play in a special live freeroll featuring a €100,000 prizepool at the first EPT of 2027, giving more rewards to a greater number of PokerStars most loyal players. The tiers and prizes are as follows:

  • High: All tournaments with a buy-in of €/£/$4,900 and higher
    • First place: €50,000 PokerStars LIVE credit
    • Second place: €25,000 PokerStars LIVE credit
    • Third place: €12,500 PokerStars LIVE credit
  • Medium: All tournaments with a buy-in of €/£/$1,000 to €/£/$5,500
    • First place: €25,000 PokerStars LIVE credit
    • Second place: €12,500 PokerStars LIVE credit
    • Third place: €6,250 PokerStars LIVE credit
  • Low: All tournaments with a buy-in equal to or less than €/£/$1,200
    • First place: €15,000 PokerStars LIVE credit
    • Second place: €7,500 PokerStars LIVE credit
    • Third place: €3,750 PokerStars LIVE credit

Points are awarded based on three factors: buy-in, number of entries and a player’s finishing position in the tournament. Players will earn leaderboard points whether or not they cash in the tournaments, and for players who finish in the money, points are calculated and awarded using a formula based on Global Poker Index points rankings, with some minor changes.

The points system for 2026 has been adjusted to give greater value to those who final table and go on to win, when compared to the 2025 Pokerstars Live League. In addition, the buy-in levels for the three tiers have been adjusted slightly to allow for events that fall in the low-medium overlap (€1,000 to €1,200) to earn points for both the low and medium tiers and events that fall in the medium-high overlap (€4,900 to €5,500) to earn points for both the medium and high tiers.

Players can follow league updates across the three tiers through the PokerStars Live app, tracking their progress and that of their rivals.
