Prize Terms and Conditions – FURIA’s Home Games

PokerStars Ambassadors in Brazil will be running a series of special edition Home Game Freerolls, from 27 November 2024 until 8 December 2024 ("Freeroll"). The top 20 players of each Freeroll ("Qualifying Semi-Finalist") will advance to the corresponding creator’s Semi-Final (each a "Semi-Final"). All Freeroll players will also have an option to buy-in directly to either or both Semi-Finals for $11 for each Semi-Final. The winners of each of the two Semi-Finals ("Winners") will win a trip to BSOP ONE 2024 ("Semi-Final Prize") taking place in São Paulo 21-22 December 2024, to watch a tournament between Gabs and Fallen taking place on 21 December 2024 ("Final"). In addition, if Gabs wins the Final, the Winner of Gabs’ Semi-Final will receive R$50,000 ("Final Prize"); if Fallen wins the Final, the Winner of Fallen’s Semi-Final will receive the Final Prize (in each case subject to the relevant Winner attending the Final in person).

In addition to these prize terms and conditions, the General Customer Terms and Home Games terms and conditions for the website ("Site") on which you participate in the FURIA’s Home Games apply to your participation in the FURIA’s Home Games.

Freerolls

The Freerolls will run on the following dates in 2024 at 20:00 BRT:

  • Gabs: 27 November, 29 November, 1 December, 3 December, 5 December, 7 December.
  • Fallen: 28 November, 30 November, 2 December, 4 December, 6 December, 8 December.

Semi-Finals

The Semi-Finals will take place on the following dates in 2024 at 20:00 BRT:

  • Gabs: 14 December.
  • Fallen: 15 December.

If a Qualifying Semi-Finalist is unable to take part in the Semi-Final for the creator corresponding to their Freeroll, they will not be entitled to a place in another creator’s Semi-Final and their Semi-Final place will be forfeited and offered to another player in the relevant Freeroll in the order of the relevant Freeroll results until a player who is able to take part is found.

If a player takes part in both Semi-Finals (whether as a Qualifying Semi-Finalist or via the buy-in route) and they win both Semi-Finals:

  • they will win the Semi-Final Prize in the first (Gabs) Semi-Final;
  • they will not be entitled to win the Semi-Final Prize in the second (Fallen) Semi-Final; and
  • the Semi-Final Prize for the second (Fallen) Semi-Final will be offered to the player finishing in second place in that Semi-Final (who will be deemed the Winner of that Semi-Final for the purpose of these Terms and Conditions).

Who is eligible?

Participants in the FURIA’s Home Games must:

  1. be resident in Brazil and have a verified and validated account on www.pokerstars.com; and
  2. join a private FURIA’s Home Games club called "FURIA’s Home Games" by entering Club ID 4818915 in the Home Games lobby on the Site.

Semi-Final Prize Description

The Semi-Final Prize is worth $1,500 and consists of the following for each of the Winners:

  • entry to BSOP ONE 2024 to watch the Final and the chance to win the Final Prize;
  • return economy class domestic flights (or alternative travel option) to São Paulo, Brazil;
  • accommodation (to be selected by PokerStars) in São Paulo, Brazil; and
  • transfers between the Winner’s arrival airport in São Paulo and the hotel.

Award of the Final Prize

Only Winners (or a player selected to replace a Winner in accordance with paragraph 11 of the Semi-Final Prize T&Cs below) who attend the Final in person will have the chance to win the Final Prize.

The Final Prize will be credited to the applicable Winner’s registered PokerStars account on the Site within 10 working days after the end of the Final.

Semi-Final Prize T&Cs

  1. Travel can only be arranged from Brazil.
  2. The Semi-Final Prize does not include any costs, taxes, fees, expenses and/or arrangements not expressly specified in the Semi-Final Prize Description above. Winners are solely responsible for, and PokerStars will not be liable to reimburse Winners for, any such additional charges and expenses.
  3. Winners must make their travel arrangements through PokerStars’ designated agent and use the carriers and providers selected by PokerStars or its designated agent. Winners must follow the itinerary provided by PokerStars or its designated agent.
  4. It is the responsibility of the Winners to check any requirements for the airline, transport provider, hotel, event venue and any other supplier providing elements of the Semi-Final Prize. Winners are bound by, and must comply with, any terms and conditions set out on their event and travel tickets and the rules, regulations, requirements and policies of the transport provider, hotel, event venue, event promoter and any other supplier connected with the Semi-Final Prize. PokerStars is not responsible for any failure of a Winner to gain entry or re-entry to the transport, hotel and/or event, or to participate in any element of the Semi-Final Prize, due to any action/inaction on the part of the Winner.
  5. It is the responsibility of the Winners to check and ensure that they satisfy all security requirements in relation to travel (including all requirements relating to passports and other documentation). PokerStars has no liability if a Winner is refused entry because they do not satisfy such requirements and Winners are solely responsible for all costs associated with refused entry.
  6. It is the responsibility of the Winners to check any travel advisories relating to the travel destination and to determine what action to take in relation to any such advisories. PokerStars has no liability if a Winner does not make such checks, if they choose to travel despite the advice given in any relevant advisory or if they choose not to travel on the advice given in any relevant advisory (in which case PokerStars will not be obliged to offer a substitute prize).
  7. It is the responsibility of the Winners to check whether any vaccinations and/or prescription medicines are recommended or required prior to travel and PokerStars has no liability in this respect.
  8. It is the responsibility of the Winners to take out their own travel insurance in connection with their Semi-Final Prize. PokerStars will have no liability for any failure by a Winner to take out travel insurance and/or to comply with the terms and conditions of their travel insurance policy.
  9. PokerStars has no liability for lost or stolen tickets, vouchers, certificates and/or other documentation connected with the Semi-Final Prize.
  10. All elements of the Semi-Final Prize are strictly non-transferable, non-exchangeable and may not be re-sold. No cash or any other alternative is available for any element of the Semi-Final Prize. No alternative dates are available.
  11. If any element of the Semi-Final Prize becomes unavailable, or if a Winner is unable to use/take part in any element of the Semi-Final Prize, for any reason beyond PokerStars’ reasonable control, PokerStars is not obliged to offer an alternative prize or any cash alternative or compensation. If a Winner is unable to go on the trip to the BSOP ONE 2024, the entire Semi-Final Prize package (including the chance to win the Final Prize) will be forfeited and offered to another player in the relevant Semi-Final in the order of the relevant Semi-Final results, until a winner who is able to attend is found.
  12. Winners must not do anything that may bring PokerStars, any of its group companies or its commercial partners into disrepute. PokerStars reserves the right to take appropriate action (including the removal of any element of the Semi-Final Prize) if a Winner acts in a way that PokerStars reasonably considers to bring PokerStars, any of its group companies or its commercial partners into disrepute.
  13. PokerStars is not liable for any loss, theft, damage or injury caused or sustained by a Winner as a result of participating in their Semi-Final Prize (except that PokerStars will be liable for death or personal injury arising from PokerStars’ negligence or for fraudulent misrepresentation).
  14. Semi-Final Prizes may be replaced with a substitute prize of equal or greater value, if circumstances beyond PokerStars’ control make it necessary to do so.
