A host in with chances and it could pay to side with GATA BAN, who took a step back in the right direction at Chepstow a fortnight ago and shaped as though she'll come on again for the outing. Dropped a further 3 lb, she can get the better of Triple Nickle, who has been in good form on the level this summer (won at this course) and was twice runner-up over hurdles in May. It's Easy and Hedera Park are another couple that should go well, too.

VerdictFairly useful maiden chaser in France for David Cottin but just respectable efforts at best for Clive Boultbee-Brooks. Down in the weights as a result and sound start for this yard when second at Stratford (16.3f, heavy) last month. Can build on that here.

VerdictBegan last campaign in fine form over hurdles and value for extra when landing cramped odds on chase debut here in February. Never threatened on both subsequent starts (latest back hurdling) but worth a second look on return for a yard who have hit the target twice this month.

VerdictJust one win (back in 2021) from 17 starts over hurdles but she was runner-up on her last couple of outings in the spring. In mostly good form on the level over the summer (won at this track in August) so she merits consideration back in this sphere. 1 lb out of the weights.
