HAMILTON BROWN (2) opened this prep with a couple of good efforts on the Gold Coast then struggled at Doomben last start in Saturday company. Cherry ripe and this is a big class drop. Ready to win. RED RED WINE (1) was ridden quietly then stoked up late to grab third last time out over 1206m at this track. Won't find this nearly as tough as that Class 4 so from a good gate his credentials are strong. BIRMINGHAM (7) produced a real eye-catcher when resuming over 1200m on the Gold Coast poly recently, making up a stack of ground in the straight to just miss out. Goes well second-up and will be tough to beat over the extra trip. CORDOZAR (6) lacked the zip required to be competitive first-up at Warwick. Won at his only attempt at seven furlongs. Worth some thought with the blinkers back on today.
