MALLETIER (2) is a progressive three-year-old who has won his past two, a strong winner as an odds-on chance at Wangaratta before improving again at Pakenham to score by three lengths. Comes up against some better types here but looks capable of measuring up again. TADGH (4) was a dominant winner on debut at Yarra Valley over 1009m as a $2.60 chance, coming from midfield to score impressively. He looks smart and can go on with the job. CASTELLAR (1) is racing well, winning two in a row prior to last start at Mornington in this grade when narrowly beaten. He's a speedy type who should take catching. ICY POLE (8) resumes having won well on debut as a well supported $2 favourite at Hamilton. Level of improvement the key. BOX OFFICE (5) was a strong three length maiden winner at Cranbourne when last seen and has to be respected again.
