DESERT EDGE (1) is a leader who was narrowly beaten at Ascot in an Open 3 before delivering a 4.4L win this grade/trip heavily backed. Has gate speed and a 2kg claim, and he rates to go on with the job. MAGIC MIKEY (4) turned in a much-improved effort, beaten 1.4L at Albany in stronger. Maps okay, and the 2kg claim is handy. He can form the quinella holding that form. KEGGS LATER (5) won his Maiden here as expected. This is harder, but he peaks and can get some of the better money. WILLPOWER (3) also brings a Maiden win and won't be far away.
