APPARENTLY (11) has raced well since switching to the Melissa Dennett yard this prep. Stalked the pace and looked the winner but missed by a whisker last start over this course and distance. In form jockey and trainer - this looks her big chance to break through. ROYAL DEFENSE (10) was caught on a limb so his effort to finish a close fourth last time out over today's distance at Dubbo had merit. Very fit and with luck from an awkward gate can play a major role. NUGGET SMART (4) has been kept fresh since tiring to finish midfield on debut over 1200m here back on 23 December. Four subsequent winners have come from that race. Keep him safe. JUKEBOX EDITION (2) went to the lead a fair way out then found one a bit better over 1200m here recently. Now a thirty-three-start maiden so each-way the best option. SUBSIDISE (12) on debut for Brett Cavanough is a big market watch following a strong trial win at Scone in September.
