KATHY'S ROSE (14) has a fitness edge over most of these and poised to win with the 4kg claim after running on late when second over 1000m at Bendigo. This looks much weaker and will take holding out. SHOWTIME KISTENA (13) improving mare with her hoof on the till after the two good runs. Had to work hard from the wide gate when a game third over 1200m at Wagga. Looks one of the few leading chances. WELLSPRING (17) best effort in three career runs on the quick back-up when a plugging third over 1000m at Wangaratta. Gets the right set-up and can go on with it now. LUNAR MOJO (5) resumes after having the two career runs last year. Strengthened-up over the break when a sharp 900m trial winner here. Good enough to play a leading role.
