The rise in trip doesn't look an issue and he looks to get a similar run in transit today. Form from last start has already been franked and he can get the job done this time. MISTRESS OF WAR (8) is building nicely this time in work, getting out to 1500m last start and finishing just 0.7L off the winner. The wide draw is a niggle, but if she can continue to improve on her current trajectory, she'll be very hard to hold out. GOLD RUBY (10) disappointed last start at Bunbury when well beaten as favourite, though she had shown promising signs to start the campaign. Now up to the mile, she can bounce back to her best form. LONG WAIT (7) is likely to get back in the run but should appreciate the rise to the mile. Watch for her storming home late in the race. AHREA (9) looks set for improvement with a better gate and a rise in distance today.
