CHAKADO (4) has been about the mark this time in, contesting some stronger races and performing admirably. Two back he was good on Cranbourne Cup day behind Oh Too Good and again he was close up at Caulfield Heath last time. This is easier, he'll cross up and take catching. ET TU BRUTE (5) has been okay without threatening in two runs back. An extra 100m here suits but fancy he might be looking for 2000m sooner rather than later. That said, he has ability and will be hard to hold out with the right run. MAXXI BON (6) ran well fresh here on wet ground in a similar race, only run down late. Fitter for that and a solid each way hope. BUNJIL (1) is racing consistently and shouldn't be far away.
