Would have derived great benefit from that outing and the cross-over nose band and lugging bit go on. Expected to go close. CENTURY SONG (4) Kembla-trained gelding who shouldn't be a maiden for long. Second-up jumped in trip when sitting on the speed for a tenacious second over 1300m at Kembla nine days ago. At his top for this and will prove hard to run down from the good gate. SHERIFF'S STAR (7) came out fast from the inside draw on resumption when a narrow fourth over 1200m at Newcastle. Looks up to this tougher contest from the good barrier. Each way. NOW IS THE HOUR (6) well bred gelding who resumed with a fading fifth over 1300m at Warwick Farm on December 18. Returns from a let-up with the two trials and since gelded. Stays in the mix.
