The Group 1 Underwood Stakes. PERICLES (2) hits this with the most intent. He's been found out at the elite level in the past but was a dominant winner last time out and will be at peak fitness third up. 1800m looks a nice spot for him, he can roll forward and make use of his fitness. BUCKAROO (8) was finally given a positive steer last start and it unsurprisingly paid dividends, winning the G2 Chelmsford Stakes narrowly. If he goes forward again he can run well. PLACE DU CARROUSEL (11) is a G1 winning mare in Europe. Her Aus debut behind Via Sistina was excellent. Her aim is a Caulfield Cup but she can win this on class. FAWKNER PARK (7) is also on a Caulfield Cup path. His Q22 win before a spell was dominant and didn't rate dissimilarly to Without A Fight (very good 6th in this last year).
