STRAPPARSI (9) started favourite and looked to have every chance but found a couple better last start over 1310m at Ballina. Form over this trip reads a little better. Nicely placed to break a lengthy win drought. CRITICAL TIME (13) returned from a brief spell with an encouraging second over 1006m here 24 days ago. Good second-up performer who will enjoy the longer trip. Great chance down in the weights. SINGLE TOUCH (3) has won two in a row, both over slightly shorter trips at this track in BM82 company. Won't have any trouble with the extra 100m or so. Stick with him. MAXIMUM VORTEX (4) closed strongly but failed to pick up the winner when fresh from a spell over 1100m at Beaudesert recently. Lightly raced five-year-old who has won 2/2 second-up. Likely to play a big role. ANDY (6) hasn't been far away of late and this is probably his pet trip. Needs luck from the draw but cannot be excluded.
