FACTCHECK (2) ran a good race first up off an eight-month spell, finding the line nicely from midfield to grab a narrow second over 1000m. Second up in his maiden campaign, he was good in the 2yo Final at Flemington and anything like that just about sees him win here. TORVEGA (12) was just fair last time but had shown promise on debut when backed into $1.65. She can improve getting to 1200m. KOONDAKAARA (3) was no match for an easy winner fresh at Pakenham but stuck on well for second. Better for that and is in the mix. TOPMOST (4) nicely bred gelding by sire Overshare from the stakes-winning mare Answers Are. Was in the placings in a recent jump out.
