CORFE CASTLE (6) sat close to the speed last start and was only 0.4L off the winner at the finish in Open company at the Gold Coast. He was 20-1 there, though this looks to shape similarly and he's been competitive in similar events in the past. Ryan Maloney rides now and he can return to winning ways. KRONENBOURG (1) is first-up here but has won when fresh before and has been revved up for this with two trials. Orman has been in the saddle for both of those and while he is a year between runs, he's a winner fresh in the past, as well as at this course and distance. Can make his presence felt. EVOCATOR (7) did enough first-up and boasts a strong second-up record with two wins from 5 attempts. The claim comes in handy and he's sure to be in the finish.
