INFLUENTIAL (1) made a sustained run from the back third of the field to get up and score impressively over 1350m at Doomben last start. Perfectly placed out to the mile on a bigger track at this stage of the prep. Not a lot of depth to this so he should be winning again. GODZILLA (6) has struck form at his last couple of runs, coming from next to last on the bend last time out to get up for second over 1680m at Ipswich. Tackling a deeper race today but drops 6kgs with the claim and is drawn to enjoy a soft run. IMATRUESTAR (2) is enduring a long win drought but looks close to a breakthrough judging by his closing second behind Influential recently over 1350m at Doomben. Doesn't meet him too well at the weights but should be competitive on the bigger track. FAIRWAY CHOICE (3) has struggled to get involved in three shorter races this prep. Needs the mile and on a seven-day back-up is worth some thought. SHURI (7) is fitter for two runs back and can improve with the blinkers on.
