Gets in well at the weights with the 3kg claim and can go back-to-back to kick off the campaign. CHERRY ROSE (10) has an excellent strikerate with six wins and two seconds from just nine starts and will strip fitter second-up from the spell. Looks a genuine top-three candidate. SER JOH (17) has won two of his past three and will be cherry ripe for this contest. Winning claims on best figures. DEER TRAIL (20) is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley and cannot be discounted. SCUD (8) best of the rest in a race with plenty of hopes.
