A lot of first-starters here, which makes things tricky, but none of them have produced multiple outstanding trials or jumpouts, which means TOMMYESS (8) deserves top billing after a highly encouraging debut at Sale. Should have taken great improvement from that and is drawn to get every chance. JASMINA (11) disappointed terribly on debut but the pre-race support suggested she has more talent than we saw that day, so warrants another chance. MUIRFIELD (6) could be the best of the first-starters after impressing in a recent Cranbourne jumpout when not beaten far despite not being knocked about. NEAR NELSON (15) should be better for the debut preparation.
