FAT FINGERS (10) has been close up in 2 starts since winning at Ballina on Boxing Day. She was under a length from the winner when finishing fourth at Beaudesert 16 days ago and from a superior gate this time, she will be once again among the hardest to beat. SHAPIN POWER (8) bounced back from a poor effort at Ipswich in her penultimate start when lame and was third at Beaudesert last time out after setting the pace. She cops another wide draw but an honest effort can still be expected. Each way. COUNT NICHOLAS (4) only missed out by a short-head when finishing second at Beaudesert just over 2 weeks ago. He will be peaking third up and his next win is not far away. ITZA MOTZA (5) was checked out of it last time out at the Sunshine Coast and deserves another chance. Include in all combinations to be safe. YOU AND I (3) is a handy gelding resuming from a spell for a new trainer. He might need the run but can't be totally ruled out, especially from the pole position. Watch closely.
