LIKEAKALIX (1) stepped up to this trip and spaced the field in the Launceston Guineas winning by 4.3L. Jumped at a short quote and the on-pacer only has to hold that form to have them covered. If he falters the Hayes-trained Victorian TRACK PATCHER (4) may pick up the slack. He improved again placing behind Cat Noir in a Geelong 64 and the longer journey will suit. He will enjoy a soft run and get every chance. KICKING KING (3) is also over from Victoria and he had no luck in a Flemington Open 3 last time. He was nudged out prior in a 70 at Mooney Valley and John Allen continues his association with the galloper. He's been kept on the fresh side and is sure to go well. MOORLANDS MISS (6) won the Tasmanian Guineas comfortably over a mile and missed 0.5L in an Open 3 following. Has to step up 600m and that's the niggle with her.
