CAPPER THIRTYNINE (4) never once rolled over last start at Flemington when running good time to just miss the winner. That run stacks right up for this and so do his runs prior. Doesn't have to scale any new peaks to be getting the job done. PORTER (9) comes through the same race but didn't show his grit late when when fading right out. Willing to forgive from an advantageous draw. Expecting him to be in this for a very long way. LET'S GET DOWN (6) showed good tactical speed here last start, only to be headed on the line. Expecting a more conservative approach this time, can play the stalking role. WINDSTORM (2) will appreciate a strong early tempo and is capable of putting them away late. RUBAMOS (1) returns and looks best of the rest.
