A POUND OF SALT (3) has taken a strong account of himself in his last two starts when tackling city grade. Caught the eye last start at Canterbury when flashing home from a long way back but had raced more prominent prior. Tackles a much easier assignment this time and can get the job done under the big weight. ROSES IMMINENTE (6) also comes through the Canterbury run where she too was only doing her best work late. Gets a nice weight pull over APOS and strips fitter second-up. Big chance. MORE THAN A STAR (1) has been freshened after kicking off the prep with two minor placings. Hasn't saluted for a long time but holds genuine claims on best figures and is aided under the big weight with the 4kg claimer engaged again. Don't overlook. DOLLY JAYNE (9) next best.
