BRANDYWINE (3) is a 24-start maiden but such is the quality of this race that she gets her chance. Worked home well to just miss the placings last Saturday over 1200m at Forbes. Back in trip but should be good enough to fully test these. SORRENTO PALACE (9) came from near the tail to get up for fifth on debut last time out over 1000m at Dubbo. Needs this extra trip and should have plenty of improvement to come. SPECULA (5) has been about the mark in her three runs this prep without threatening, the latest an even fifth over 1000m at Orange. Very fit and should be in the finish. NEBIDA (8) draws a nice gate for her debut. Wasn't beaten far in a recent Rosehill trial so she should give a good account. KYLANGI (4) returns from a ten-month spell. Can improve on the only run of the maiden campaign.
