CRUSHEEN LASS (8) was rewarded for consistency with a game maiden win last start over 1750m at Muswellbrook. Has been tried at this distance four times for a couple of minor placings. Putting it together finally so she can get the job done again. WILL TO EXCEL (2) has been through the Jericho series. Failed to finish in the 4600m marathon at Warrnambool when unwanted in betting. Scored a huge win over two miles at Wagga on 1 November. Loves racing here at this trip so don't rule him out. SHADOW SHOT (7) ran on stoutly to win a BM58 over 1600m at Dubbo a fortnight ago. Is a winner at this trip so it looks a nice progression at the third run back from a spell. AVALICIOUS (5) led but couldn't hold out Shadow Shot at Dubbo last time. Has less improvement in the tank than today's rival but should run another honest race. HOT GOSPEL (6) is in the mix based on a 1.5 length third in a BM66 over this course and distance two runs back.
