KINGS VALLEY (14) improving staying prospect going nicely through his grades. Worked hard early from the sticky draw when holding on gamely with a gritty second over 2000m at Flemington. Won't know himself on the limit from the good gate and looks hard to hold out. BIRDMAN (2) started hard in the market on resumption and like the way he attacked the line when fourth over 1600m here. Has won second-up and desperate for this trip and further now. SWEYSIVE (7) tough on-pace gelding who stretches out to this trip for the first time in much stronger class. Will hold a forward position and expected to be thereabouts on the line. Take on trust. UNLIMITED (12) goes well this trip and returns from just over a month off. Kept up to the mark with a 1030m tick over trial and expected to bounce back. MEDATSU (8) failed to get into the contest from the poor gate on resumption and two of his four wins have come over the 2000m. Can surprise some of his more fancied rivals.
