LOUIE'S LEGACY (2) has been racing well in open company, capped by an outstanding second in the recent Bega Cup over this course and distance when he might have been unlucky not to win. Has an excellent record at the mile and goes well on a rain affected track. Clear top pick. ASTUNNER (7) pulled up lame after a poor effort in the Bega Cup. Finished just 0.6 lengths back in the Cowra Cup the run prior. Loves the wet, a jockey with a fine strike rate aboard this gelding reunites, and the blinkers are back on so watch for a return to form. MARACAIBO SUN (8) failed at Warwick Farm recently after a tough win in a Nowra BM66 a fortnight earlier. Has only missed the frame once in five starts on wet tracks. Right in the mix. BLOW IN (3) returned in good order for new trainer Rob Potter at Parkes last start. Can improve sharply. Mudlark LOOSE LOVE (4) won first-up at Parkes and will relish the extra furlong today. Sure to give a good account.
